Flowers Maketh a Room

This year I have been fortunate enough to work with a number of couples that had chosen Hampton Manor as their wedding venue. This beautiful Victorian country house offers a wonderfully romantic setting, it also serves as an example demonstrating how floral decorations can transform a space – setting a tone from formal to rustic to reflect the tastes of the happy couple.

The glass roofed Courtyard is the perfect space for a Wedding Breakfast.

Here we have a very elegant formal room set up. With floral centrepieces sitting atop tall glass conical vases, almost appearing to float over the guest tables. This summer wedding featured beautifully scented Alabaster Roses, Oriental Lilies, Spray Rose, Lisianthus, Sahara Rose, Eucalyptus and Asparagus Fern.

Later in the year the very same room was transformed into a more rustic and naturalistic venue. With foliage garland table runners really connecting the space with the country side setting.

The colour tones and flower choices also set the tone – hints of marsala, blush pink, ivory and lots of rich ivy greens paired with antique brass candle sticks.

The W&T team also moved a floral arch from The Birches where the wedding ceremony took place to Elizabeth Court for the wedding breakfast, providing a picture perfect frame for the newly married couple at the top table.

We believe this contrast of styles highlights the importance of the consultative relationship between florist and couple.

We arrange a complimentary consultation meeting with all of our bride and grooms to fully understand their vision.
